Who we are
Wikimatic is operated by NINDIP. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you visit our website, create an account, use a workspace, upload source material, chat with your wiki, or purchase a paid plan.
Information we collect
We may collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, workspace memberships, and role settings. We also process user-provided content such as uploaded files, pasted text, imported URLs, source metadata, generated wiki pages, citations, relationship data, revisions, proposals, chat prompts, and chat responses.
We may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device and browser details, log events, page views, source processing status, AI token usage, billing events, checkout status, error data, and security events.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure Wikimatic, authenticate users, operate workspaces, process sources, generate wiki artifacts, answer questions, maintain citations and revision history, enforce plan limits, measure AI usage, provide customer support, process payments, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
Wikimatic may send source content, extracted text, prompts, generated wiki context, and related metadata to AI providers to extract knowledge, generate wiki pages, create embeddings, validate claims, and answer questions. You should not upload content unless you have the right to process it with AI systems. AI outputs may be inaccurate, so important results should be reviewed by a human.
Payments and third-party services
We use third-party providers to operate the service, including hosting, databases, file storage, authentication, AI processing, analytics or logging, email or support tools, and payment processing. Payments and subscription management are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store full payment card numbers on Wikimatic servers. Third-party providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Cookies and similar technology
Wikimatic may use cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, session security, preferences, analytics, checkout, fraud prevention, and service operation. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking required cookies may prevent the service from working correctly.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Wikimatic, maintain workspaces, comply with legal and billing obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and keep reasonable business records. Workspace deletion is designed around a 30-day retention window before permanent deletion. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, provider systems, invoices, fraud prevention records, or legal compliance records.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for controlling who can access your workspaces.
International processing
Wikimatic and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your location.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also request help with account or workspace deletion. To make a request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Children
Wikimatic is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, providers, legal requirements, or business practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
